FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Estero, Fla. – The Florida Jr. Blades are proud to announce the hiring of Jordan Stear as the organization’s Premier Head Coach and NCDC Assistant Coach, further strengthening the club’s commitment to player development and advancement.

A native of Pekin, Illinois, Stear brings an accomplished playing background, strong leadership experience, and a proven commitment to player development. His hockey journey began in youth programs in Chicago and Dallas before advancing to the junior ranks in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL).

Stear continued his playing career at Lebanon Valley College (NCAA Division III), where he developed into one of the program’s most respected leaders both on and off the ice. Over 85 collegiate games, Stear recorded 24 career points (4 goals, 20 assists) from the blue line while serving as both assistant captain and team captain. During his senior season, he appeared in all 25 games, totaled 10 points, and ranked second on the team in assists. He earned All-MAC Honorable Mention, MAC Academic Honor Roll, and UCHC All-Academic Team recognition while completing his bachelor’s degree in Business.

Following college, Stear advanced to the professional ranks with the Topeka Scarecrows of the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL). His experience competing at the junior, collegiate, and professional levels has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the developmental pathway necessary to help aspiring players reach the next level.

After concluding his playing career, Stear transitioned into coaching and player development, dedicating himself to helping athletes maximize their potential both on and off the ice. His player-first coaching philosophy, leadership experience, and deep understanding of the game make him a tremendous addition to the Florida Jr. Blades organization.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jordan to the Florida Jr. Blades family,” said Noah Wild. “His experience throughout every level of the hockey development ladder, combined with his passion for mentoring young athletes, will make an immediate impact on our program. Jordan’s leadership and commitment to player advancement align perfectly with the culture we are continuing to build.”

“Jordan was an exceptional leader throughout his time at Lebanon Valley College,” said Don Parsons, Head Men’s Hockey Coach at Lebanon Valley College. “He brought professionalism, accountability, and a team-first mentality every day. His ability to connect with players, combined with his knowledge of the game and passion for development, will make him an outstanding coach and mentor for the athletes in the Florida Jr. Blades organization.”

Stear is eager to begin working with players throughout the organization and contributing to the continued growth and success of the Florida Jr. Blades both on and off the ice.
